The US Coast Guard has approved Safe Waters the teach the following courses and give examinations in leu of taking the tests at the USCG examination center
This 16-hour course prepares candidates for the USCG examination to qualify for a Limited Masters or Limited OUPV Launch license. During the 16 hours candidates will receive training in Rules of the Road, deck and navigation topics. Throughout this course emphasis will be placed on understanding both theory and principals of the material presented as opposed to just passing the exam

OUPV Captain's Course
Become a US Coast Guard Licensed captain in 54 hours!
The OUPV or "Six Pack" allows captains to operate un-inspected boats with up to 6 passengers. This 54-hour course prepares candidates for the USCG approved examination to qualify for Operator of Un-inspected Passenger Vessel (46CFR10.467) and follows 46CFR11.302 and 46CFR11.303. Safe Waters will, upon completion, issue a Course Completion Certificate in lieu of a Coast Guard examination as per 46CFR11.302. During the 54-hour class students will review the rules, plotting, deck topics and navigation. Throughout the course emphasis is placed on understanding the theory and principals of the material presented, with special emphasis on Rules, and safe navigation.
Fast Rescue boat
Safe Waters Offers the FRB course to individuals, companies and Search and Rescue Units across the country. Our FRB instructors are all experts in Maritime search and rescue and boat handling and all approved by the US Coast Guard. The Course can be offered at our location or yours. Please contact us for more details Anyone who operates any rescue boat should hold a USCG Fast Rescue Boat Operator certificate. Students who take this 24 hour course and pass on the water competencies and written test will receive a USCG and STCW certificate.
